Pokhara, May 1:

The District Police Office today arrested Bishnu Dhakal, 25, and her alleged accomplice Ganga Bahadur Poudel, 78, of Sildjure VDC-1 on charges of poisoning and then burying her husband Rabi Lal, 37, in a cowshed. Inspector Durga Shrestha said that Dhakal and Poudel had killed Rabi by giving

him poison-laced liquor on January 16.

He said that Dhakal has admitted to the crime. She had been fooling the villagers by telling them that Rabi had gone to Mumbai in search of work.

The crime came to light when Dhakal’s five-year-old son told his grandmother about the incident that occurred on April 29.

The police preliminary report said Dhakal was having an illicit affair with Poudel.
