BAITADI: A worker deployed by the Api Hydropower Company in Darchula district died after falling off a cliff on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Dhan Bahadur Magarati (50) of Haldubari–7 in Jhapa district, Inspector Rana Bahadur Chand of the District Police Office said.

Magarati, who had been working as a cook for the electrical line workers at the company, fell 70 metres down the Sukekhola cliff at Dhulagadi–4 in Darchula district and died on the spot.

His body has been kept at the Gokuleshwor Hospital for the postmortem.
