Cop murdered

BHOJPUR: An unidentified gang killed policeman Briju Yadav in Siraha district on Wednesday morning.

Bombs detonated

SARLAHI: Cadres of Tarai Cobra on Tuesday night detonated two socket bombs in Sarlahi district headquarters Malangawa. Central member of Tarai Cobra Shiva took responsibility of the blasts and said the bombs were exploded to protest government’s apathy towards their four-point pre-conditions for talks. One bomb went off in a bus belonging to Agni Yatayat, while the other was detonated in front of a local businessman’s house in Malangawa-8. “The bomb damaged windscreen and the hood of the bus,” Satya Shrestha, an employee of Agni Yatayat, said. District Police Office, Sarlahi, said they had beefed up security in the district and had started investigation into the cases. — HNS
