India helps NNJS
KATHMANDU: India has extended financial assistance of Rs 44.16 million to Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS) or organising Eye Care Programme in various districts of Nepal.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Embassy of India located in Kathmandu and NNJS for organising Eye Care Programme on Tuesday.
Minister for Health and Population Ram Janam Chaudhary and Indian Ambassador Ranjit Rae were also present on the occasion.
According to a press release issued by the Indian Embassy, India has provided a total grant of Rs 254.16 million for NNJS for organising eye care services in different parts of Nepal.
