Says these are Nepal's internal matters
KATHMANDU, MAY 26
The Indian government has said that India has taken note of the recent political developments in Nepal.
Ministry of External Affairs of India, in response to media queries on the recent developments that have unfolded since the dissolution of House of Representatives last week, said India has taken note of the situation and that these are Nepal's internal matters.
"We view these as internal matters of Nepal to be dealt by them under their own domestic framework and democratic processes."
In a statement issued Wednesday, the Indian MEA stressed India remains unwavering in its support for Nepal and its people, becoming the first country to officially react to Nepal government's recent move.
"We support Nepal and its people on their journey toward progress, peace, stability and development," it concluded.
