Indian aid for infrastructure construction

Kathmandu, May 15:

At a public function held today, the Counsellor (Economic Co-operation), Embassy of India, inaugurated the new auditorium of the Kathmandu University at Dhulikhel, constructed with a grant assistance of Rs 28.98 million from the Government of India (GOI).

At another function held today, the Counsellor laid the foundation stone for the new building of Shree Bhagwati higher secondary school at Kharelthok Village Development Committee of Kavre district being constructed with grant assistance of Rs 11.13 million from GOI.

According to a press statement issued here today, the 320-seat auditorium is named after the Indian scientist, Sir CV Raman.

The statement further stated that the school presently has 650 students. The statement said that the Counsellor underlined the importance of educational infrastructure for Nepal’s overall national development.
