Indian man held for call bypassing from Damak
SURUNGA: Nepal Police said an Indian man was arrested from Damak of Jhapa district for his involvement in running a VOIP racket to bypass international calls.
The suspect has been identified as Aman Singh (33) of Kolkata, currently residing in Damak.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police deployed from the Damak Area Police Office arrested Singh on Sunday night, said DSP Rajan Limbu.
Police also seized equipment used for call bypassing along with an inverter, a battery, 100 Nepal Telecom SIM cards, 150 Ncell SIM cards and recharge cards from his rented room in Damak, DSP Limbu further informed.
Singh has been kept at the Area Police Office for further investigation.
