Indian national arrested with illegal drugs from Nagdhunga

KATHMANDU: An Indian national was arrested on the charge of possessing illegal pharmaceutical  drugs at Nagdhunga of Kathmandu district on Sunday.

The arrestee has been identified as Narayan Giri of India.

A team from the Nagdhunga Metropolitan Police Sector arrested Narayan Giri this morning during a security check on a Kathmandu-bound passenger bus (Na 7 Kha 428) in which Giri was travelling, informed Keshab Bhatta, Sector Chief.

The drugs confiscated from Giri included 198 ampoules of Lupigesic, 194 ampoules of Phenergan and Diazepam each, and 46 ampoules of Nurofen.

Giri has been sent to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot for further investigation, said Bhatta.
