HETAUNDA: An Indian National has been arrested with 1.516 kilogram of undeclared gold from Ratamate of Hetaunda Sub-Metropolitan City-15 on Friday, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended 35-year-old Suman Kumar of Raxwal in Bihar State in India.

The suspect was arrested after police intercepted a Tata Sumo heading to Birgunj from Kathmandu at the Ratamate police police post in Makwanpur district today.

Police seized large quantity of gold hidden inside the seat of the four wheeler.

According to police the current market value of the seized gold is Rs 7.59 million in Nepali market.

Meanwhile, police said the investigation is underway.
