Indian national held with undeclared US dollar bank notes

HETAUDA: Police on Thursday said an Indian national has been arrested in possession of an undeclared 35,000 US Dollar bank notes from Hetauda of Makwanpur district.

A police team deployed from the Pashupatinagar Area Police Office in Makwanpur arrested 25-year-old Seshnath Prasad of Vedihari gram in Eastern Champaram of Bihar State in India.

Prasad was travelling on a passenger bus to Birjung from kathmandu via Hetauda was intercepted at Ratomate police check-post in Hetauda-15, according to police.

Police discovered huge amount of US dollar hidden inside his shoes.

Makwanpur District Police Office spokesperson and DSP Dilipraj Jha said the suspect will be sent to the Hariharbhawan-based Department of Revenue Investigation for further investigation and action.
