Indian PM Modi Meets Prez Bhandari, vice-president

Kathmandu, May 11

Visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a courtesy call on President Bidhya Devi Bhandari in Shital Niwas this evening. The Indian PM also paid a courtesy call on Vice-president Nanda Bahadur Pun at the latter’s office here today.

According to the president’s Personal Secretary Bhesh Raj Adhikari, Bhandari welcomed PM Modi and wished for his successful visit. She also told Modi that with all levels of elections held recently, Nepal was now on a march towards prosperity. She said Nepal was endowed with abundant natural resources and it could achieve the goals of prosperity utilising those resources.

Modi wished the president good health.

According to a press release issued by the vice-president’s Press Coordinator Manoj Gharti Magar, the vice-president told Modi that his third visit to Nepal would further strengthen the bilateral ties. The vice-president also hoped that bilateral treaties and agreements would be reviewed as per the need of time.
