KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 13

Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, has announced the government's intention to launch a program aimed at promoting indigenous culture, connecting it with tourism, production, employment, and industry.

During the 'Matoko Git' cultural event organized by the Cultural Corporation to boost tourism and generate capital, Minister Kirati emphasized the need to nationalize the arts of local artists to enhance tourism prospects.

He mentioned the formation of a task force dedicated to formulating a cultural policy and highlighted the importance of elevating Nepali culture to gain international recognition.

Addressing the issue of project failures, he attributed a 52 percent failure rate to their disconnection from cultural roots.

Ashok Kumar Rai, the General Manager of the Corporation, revealed plans for a special Nepali cultural program inauguration by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Friday.
