RATNANAGAR: An infant died after a truck rammed into a house at Panch Kilo in Chandibhanjyang along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section in Chitwan district on Monday.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the deceased has been identified as eight-month-old Kishma Gurung, daughter of Kisan Gurung.

Police said that the incident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle (Na 3 Kha 9699) heading towards Narayangadh from Kathmandu at around 10:30 pm yesterday.

Critically injured in the incident, the infant was taken to the Chitwan Medical College, where she breathed her last during the course of treatment at around 4 am today.
