Jhapa, February 17

A test flight was conducted to check the newly installed Instrument Flight Regulation technology at Chandragadi airport in Bhadrapur, Jhapa, today.

Bhadrapur airport in-charge Purna Chudal said the test flight was conducted in coordination with of Budhha Air, and all equipment and tools had already been installed for IFR technology.

All aircraft at the airport had been landing with Visual Flight Regulation technology. For VFR, a visibility of five kilometre is needed while under IFR, an aircraft can land with just 1.6-km  visibility.

Chudal the test flight was satisfactory and would take around three months for technical work to land aircraft at the airport using IFR technology.
