Interim statute drafting panel yet to begin job

Kathmandu, June 27 :

The Interim Constitution Drafting Committee is waiting inclusion of some more members in it before formally starting the job. “We will formally start our job only after the the committee is given a full shape as assured by the government and the Maoist peace talks teams,” said Harihar Dahal, a member of the Committee. The government and the Maoist talks teams have urged the committee, in written, to start its job. “We are waiting for the government to give full shape to the committee before we formally start our job,” another member of the committee, Sindhu Nath Pyakurel, said. The panel is also awaiting cabinet endorsement for legitimising their works.
