People from Galkot, who have spread across the country and abroad, formed the International Galkot Society under the coordination of Belu Thapa in Kathmandu, recently.

Megh KC has been elected member secretary of the Society. The president of the Society which is based in eight places of the country and in 18 foreign countries are the ex-officio members of International Galkot Society.

Galkot Society Baglung was constituted in 2002 as the mother society. The first Galkot Society abroad was formed in Japan in 2006. The Society has now expanded to Australia, United Kingdom, among other countries. People from Galkot of Baglung who are living and working in various places within the country and abroad are members of the Society which is active in development and humanitarian services.
