Int'l film festival to kick off in Pokhara from Dec 21

POKHARA: The third International Mountainous Film Festival is going to be held at Pokhara City Hall (Sabhagriha) on December 21-23.

Pokhara Film Society (PFS) is organising the event where total 43 films including 23 Nepali and 20 foreign films will be screened.

The main objective of the festival is to raise public awareness on the cultures, public life of indigenous nationalities, traditions, sports, bio-diversity around the mountainous regions.

At a press conference organised here on Friday, the festival coordinator Saroj Sapkota shared that the event would be organised to advocate for the guarantee of the rights of the people living in and around mountainous regions.

The PFS General Secretary Bishnu Gautam said the festival would have the first screening of Nepali film 'Tuin'.
