KATHMANDU, JUNE 11
Police have arrested two Bangladeshi nationals at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) after recovering more than Rs 3.1 million concealed in false compartments of their suitcases.
The arrested have been identified as Mohammad Intaj Ali, 39, and Mohammad Zakir Hussain, 50. They were preparing to board a Batik Air flight to Kuala Lumpur when the cash was detected during baggage screening at the departure terminal.
According to police, Intaj Ali had visited Nepal more than 38 times, while Hussain had entered the country 11 times.
The suspects have been handed over to the Department of Revenue Investigation for further inquiry.
