Police have arrested two Chinese nationals from Naxal in Kathmandu on charges of involvement in suspicious activities.
The arrested have been identified as 33-year-old Wang Wend and 32-year-old Chen Shuanggui, according to Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Rameshwar Karki.
Police said the duo had entered Nepal on visit visas but were allegedly involved in activities contrary to the purpose of their visas.
According to investigators, they had opened an office named "RR Building Intro Technology" in Naxal and were allegedly operating suspicious online activities through live hub applications by creating accounts using foreign models and women, befriending foreign and Indian nationals online and asking them for money.
Police said they have been handed over to the Department of Immigration in Kalikasthan for further investigation and action under the Immigration Act.
