Irrigation water lifted through mobile app

Beni, December 21

Krishna Bahadur Khatri, a local farmer of Beni Municipality in Myagdi tapped a mobile app, through which an electric motor turned on, and the water was lifted 250 metres uphill  from the river for irrigation.

This new technology has made things easier for farmers to irrigate their farmland through a touch on a mobile app, which has a connection with an electric motor set up at the source of the water.

Under this technology, one can switch on an electric motor set up to lift water from far away by means of a mobile app.

“The water was lifted, it travelled along and dropped 250 metres uphill within just five seconds when an electric motor set up at the reservoir was turned on through the mobile app,” said Khatri.

This is the first time water has been lifted uphill with the help of a mobile app, he claimed.
