'ISF idea floated hastily'

NARAYANGADH: Former finance minister and Nepali Congress leader Dr Ram Sharan Mahat accused the government of announcing the formation of Industrial Security Force (ISF) in haste without adequate groundwork and consultation with concerned stakeholders. Talking to media persons in Narayangarh this morning, Mahat said, “Industrial Security Force should have been formed after consultation with private sector, but the government declared it without taking the sector concerned into confidence.”

Stating that economy of the country was facing crisis, Mahat argued that peace and stability were a must to resolve the financial crisis facing the nation. He added peace process could not be taken to logical conclusion prior to the rehabilitation of the Maoist fighters.
