Jailbirds in Tanahun receive tika
DAMAULI: Jailbirds Tanahun District Prison were overwhelmed after they received tika from their sisters on Bhaitika in Tihar.
Gaoler Narayan Adhikari said that 25 prisoners received tika from their sisters in the jail.
He said the jailbirds received tika till 5:00 pm the day before. The inmates were elated to have been able to observe Bhaitika, a celebration of brotherhood and sisterhood, despite being behind the bars.
There are altogether 48 detainees and 62 inmates doing their time in this jail. The jail has the capacity to accommodate only 25 persons.
