Jajarkot HQs shut after Nepali Congress leader's murder

JAJARKOT: The Nepali Congress cadres in Jajarkot have called a general strike in Jajarkot district headquarters today, demanding that the murderer of district leader Rabindra Shah be booked.

The NC leaders have demanded the District Administration Office and police to find those who attacked on Shah and fatally pushed him from a cliff yesterday.

Police said they have arrested 10 persons for investigation.

At least four assailants reportedly first pelted stones at Shah and later pushed him off the cliff on the roadside on Tuesday evening.

Shah was returning home after visiting a road construction site in Bheri Municipality-5 when he was assaulted at around 6:45 pm, police said.

The body was sent to the District Hospital for postmortem.
