Private schools in Janakpurdham, the district headquarters of Dhanusha, have been shut down since Monday after an unidentified gang threatened them to close. Dhanusha Chief District Officer Ratna Raj Pandeya said the District Education Office was working towards resuming classes in those schools.
“In case the district education office fails to reopen the private schools, the local administration will make arrangements to reopen them.” Brajendra Mishra, the chairman of N-PABSON, Dhanusha, said the schools were shut down all of a sudden.
“We were even unable to notify the students and guardians about the closure of the schools.” Asking the authorities concerned to create an environment to reopen the schools, he said the closure would badly affect the students appearing for the approaching final exams, SLC examination and board examination of the Grade VII.
