KATHMANDU, APRIL 12
The Government of Japan has supported a project aimed at strengthening flood resilience in Morang district.
A handover ceremony for flood countermeasure infrastructure was held on April 8 in the district, the Embassy of Japan in Nepal said.
The project is being implemented by Japanese NGO Shapla Neer and focuses on enhancing community preparedness against climate-induced disaster risks.
Deputy Chief of Mission at the Japanese Embassy, SHINTO Yasuharu, attended the event and expressed hope that the initiative would help Morang emerge as a model for disaster resilience.
