KATHMANDU: The Government of Japan has provided a financial assistance of around Rs. 9,447,263 to the Council of Community Health Services, a local NGO, in Kathmandu to help it provide medical services and medicines at low prices to the local people and patients from neigbouring districts, especially the poor.
The assistance will be used to construct a building which will house the registration and pharmacy room and a patient’s waiting area, according to a statement released by the Embassy here on Thursday.
Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa and Chairman of the Council Hari Gopal Shrestha signed and exchanged the grant contract at a function held at the Japanese Embassy.
