DAMAK: A woman succumbed to her injuries she had sustained in a bus accident in Kamalnagar Rural Municipality of Jhapa district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Nita Bista of Damak Municipality-20, the Jhapa District Police Office said.

At least 10 persons, including Bista, were injured when the bus (Ba 3 Kha 7815) travelling on a high speed towards west had turned turtle at Sitapuri Chok in the district on Sunday.

Injured Bista was rushed to the Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar, where she died during treatment, police added.

Among the other injured, Laxmi Pokharel (23) of Damak-2 and Ananta Khanal (41) of Damak-9 are currently undergoing treatment, police informed.
