KATHMANDU: The joint task force of the major parties and the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front held a meeting this evening. No concrete decision was made today but leaders said it ended on positive note.

According Rajendra Shrestha of the Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal, who is one of the three members from the UDMF, the major parties had not done enough homework on the issues of provincial boundaries to resolve the Madhes agitation.

Two of the task force members -- Mahesh Acharya of Nepali Congress and Krishna Bahadur Mahara of UCPN-Maoist -- did not take part in today's meeting.
