BHADRAPUR: This year's 'Shyam Krishna Upadhyay Memorial Journalism Award' is to be conferred on Jhapa-based Journalist Laxman Dhakal on coming September 1.

The award carrying a purse of Rs 15,550 will be presented to Senior Journalist Dhakal —who has been in the journalism since 2034 BS —while being associated to the Bishwadeep Literary Magazine. The award was instituted by Aabha Kumari Upadhyaya in memory of her beloved late father, according to an organisation formed to deal with the award related matters.
