Ghimire was arrested after he failed to submit a bail of Rs 15 million at the court on Sunday.

He had made a plan to kidnap Bista to take over the land worth millions of rupees belonging to Bista located at Birtamod of Jhapa district.

Ghimire has been remanded to Jhapa District Jail on the same day.

Before this, the then Communications Minister Surendra Karki's personal secretary, Raju Acharya, as well as Ajar Rai, Raju Kunwar and the then officer of the District Administration Office in Jhapa Tejindra Neupane involved in the case, have already been released on general date after submitting bail.

Bista had filed a complaint at Area Police Office in Birtamod against them on April 7, saying they forcibly took over the land after taking him hostage at Garamani-based Shuvakamana Hotel on January 27.
