Minimum Wage Determination Committee for Working Journalists Chair Sangita Khadka said that working journalists' act would be implemented at the earliest.
Speaking at an interaction organised jointly by Minimum Wage Determination Committee and Tanahun chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists in Damauli, Khadka pledged to execute the working journalists' act.
Khadka said her committee was about to submit suggestion to the government that would ban media houses from getting state advertisements if they failed to implement the journalists' act.
At the programme, Federation of Nepali Journalists' central member Sarita Timsina Pangeni advised journalists to take appointment letters before starting work at any media house.
