JSP-N to hit streets calling for reinstatement of House

RAUTAHAT, JANUARY 17

Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal’s central executive committee member Hisila Yami today said that dissolution of the House of Representatives by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was unconstitutional and undemocratic. Yami added that her party would take to the streets to reinstate the HoR.

Yami, who is also a former minister, accused Prime Minister Oli of pushing the country into political instability by dissolving the Parliament. She argued that the PM had dissolved the Parliament and defamed the country in the international arena.

Talking to party cadres and leaders at Durga Bhagawati Rural Municipality, Rautahat, Yami said that Nepali leaders had failed to institutionalise the constitution and democratic institutions. Yami said Oli had run away from his responsibility of protecting people from the COVID-19 pandemic and plunged the country into regression.

She pledged to hit the streets and revive the House of Representatives at any cost.

Yami made it clear that her party wanted reinstatement of the Parliament to bring the derailed politics of the country back on track. “It is the duty of all the citizens to protect the constitution,” she added.
