A solar panel at the Maithapla repeater tower was damaged by the thunderbolt in Kudari village last week, Nepal Telecom's Jumla district acting head Chitra Bahadur Shahi said.

As many as 26,000 locals of Kalikakhetu, Mahabaipathar Khola, Badki, Shanigaun, Narakot, Dhapa, Pandav Gupha, Kanaka Sundari and Malikabota were affected due to the obstruction in communications.
