Kailali District Prison to provide beautician training to female prisoners

DHANGADHI: District Prison in Kailali has initiated a beauty parlour training programme for female prisoners starting from Monday.

The three-month programme is being carried out by Sunaulo Bhawishya Nepal with the support of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City.

Inaugurating the programme, Mayor of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City Nripa Bahadur Wada stated that persons who take the law into their own hands will have to bear its consequences, however, he encouraged the inmates to become good citizens after being released from the prison.

He said that the training programme had been launched to ensure that such an opportunity was provided to them, adding that unemployment and scarcity are some of the causes of increasing crimes in the society.

Likewise, Chief District Officer of Kailali, Baburam Shrestha, requested the prisoners to grab this opportunity to acquire some skills and become self-dependent.

In the same way, Chief of Sunaulo Bhawishya Nepal, Tulasi Devkota, appealed that the participants give as much time as possible for the training.

According to Devkota, 24 inmates are participating in the training while the remaining 10 could not join the programme due to short duration of their stay in the prison.
