KAILALI: Police arrested a man with possession a pistol from the Kamdev Community Forest in Basuti-3 of Kailali district on Monday.

The suspect has been identified as Kukara Chaudhary (39) aka Nirdang of Manau, Hasuliya-8 of the district.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint police team deployed from the Far-Western Regional Investigation Bureau and the District Police Office, Kailali, nabbed Chaudhary with the gun.

Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
