KALIKOT: A woman was killed and six others were injured after being buried by a mould of earth at Manma, the district headquarters of Kalikot on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Sita PandeY (23), of Manma VDC-8 in the district.

The incident took place while they were trying to dig out clay from the foundation pits meant for domestic use.

Locals had rescued the victims and rushed to the nearby District Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Kalikot District Hospital's senior Assistant Health worker Katak bahadur Mahat informed that the injured are undergoing treatment at the same health facility.
