JUMLA: Locals of Karnali region took out a "victory rally" in Jumla today, hailing the decision of major political parties to include all five districts of Karnali zone in the proposed Province No. 6. They also thanked the political leaders for addressing their demands.

Locals, leaders and supporters of various political parties in the region had been agitating for last 12 days, demanding that the region should be split from the Far-West and be declared an autonomous state.

Bir Bahadur Kunwar, district chairman of the UCPN-Maoist, said that the political parties have shown their respect to people of the region by addressing their demands.
