Karnali govt urges Centre to facilitate foreign aid mobilisation

SURKHET: Karnali provincial government has decided to urge the federal government to facilitate the operation of foreign aids to be received by the provincial government.

Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the provincial government on Monday took a decision to this end. Spokesperson at the provincial government Bimala KC, also the Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, shared that foreign donors were ready to pledge assistance in vocational education, roads, irrigation, power development, tourism among other sectors. Hence, they were seeking consent from the federal government.

Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was found ready to assist in the sectors; therefore, the government was requesting the federal government and Ministry of Finance for the consent and facilitation for the same, Minister KC added.
