The Surkhet-Humla road section of the Karnali Highway has been obstructed following a rain-triggered landslide at Bhattadi in Raskot Municipality-8, Kalikot.
The District Police Office reported that a landslide at Sisne in Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality-3 had also occurred but has already been cleared. Traffic has resumed in that area after police, passengers, and local residents worked together to remove the debris.
Tek Bahadur Rawat, Chief of the District Police Office, confirmed that efforts were underway to clear the landslide at Bhattadi. The police, locals, and excavators are working tirelessly to clear the obstruction," Rawat said, adding, the road will be operational later today.
