Kavre AAO to begin operation

Kavre, March 9

Four years after it was conceived, the proposed Area Administration Office in Kavre, Ghartichhap is all set to come into operation now that the required manpower has been arranged.

The then government in November 2012 had decided to set up an area administration office in Ghartichhap to cater to the people in eight remote VDCs of the region. The plan, however, fell short od materialising as the assigned official refused to work there citing remote geographical terrain.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Bhimkanta Sharma of Kavre, the government has now decided to send a team under the command of a first class non-gazetted officer to run the office. “After the government’s previous bid to deploy a third-class gazette officer failed, the office will be run by a top class non-gazetted officer,” he informed.

As per the standard criteria, a third-class gazetted officer, along with three first class non-gazetted officers, and one computer operator and office assistant each are required to man an area administration office.

The proposed AAO is supposed to cater to villagers of Phalametar, Salmechakal, Dandagaun, Gokule, Ghartichhap, Foksingtar, Budhakhani, and Banakhuchaur VDCs.
