Party calls for scrapping federalism

The third national conference of the party held in Butwal stated this in its declaration.
The conference has also unanimously passed the party Chairman's political proposal that emphasises establishing a unitary system of governance with democratic decentralisation and local self-governance.
The party also concluded that the country was passing through a difficult situation and called on all parties to be united to face it.
It also demanded scrapping the provision made in the Constitution which stipulates that the constituencies would be formed based on the population and what it called the 'lenient' provision on citizenship. The party also demanded providing voting rights to the migrant Nepalis abroad and creating separate constituencies for Dalits and women, among others.
