KATHMANDU, MAY 18
A renowned British climber scaled the world's highest mountain for the 19th time breaking his own record for the most Mt Everest summits by any foreign climber.
According to base camp officials, Kenton Cool from Gloucestershire, South West England, also broke his own British record for the most summits of the world's highest peak.
Kenton along with Dorjee Gyaljen Sherpa reached the summit point at around 9:15am, said officials. Dorji Gyaljen also made it to the top of Everest for 23 times.
Kenton, 52, holds a record of the first British mountaineer who climbed Mt Nuptse, Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse in a season in 2013. Kenton had made it to the top of Mt Lhotse in less than 29 hours after scaling the world's highest peak in 2021.
