Khotang folks living in darkness for past three days

KHOTANG: The disruption of power supply in Khotang has continued for the past three days without any prospect of its renewal anytime soon.

The electric power supply was severed on Sunday after Diktel-Gaighat 33 KV Transmission Line broke.

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Branch Office at Diktel said a technical team has already been dispatched to the location to repair the line. NEA said it assumed that the power transmission lines in and around Rasuwa might have broken during Sunday night's storm.

The disruption in power supply has affected government and non-government offices, financial transaction, trade as well as electronic and print media's publication and transmission.

The locals have been infuriated with the authorities' failure to renew the supply of electricity at the earliest.
