KHPP to undergo maintenance

HETAUDA: Power generation from Kulekhani Hydro Power Project (KHPP) will be halted for two weeks from Wednesday for maintenance purposes.

According to Nepal Electricity Authority there would be no change in the present load-shedding hours. The chief of KHPP (First) Sachhidananda Mishra said the maintenance work was done for the first time after the machine was installed in 1982. Efficient technicians from NEA and two Japanese will be involved in maintenance works, added Mishra. KHPP First and Second have been generating 60 and 32 MW electricity respectively.
