Oli named poll candidate from Siraha

CPN-UML Siraha has unanimously recommended party Chairperson KP Sharma Oli’s name for the upcoming parliamentary elections from Siraha constituency 1.
UML Siraha District Publicity Department Chief Ashok Yadav said Oli’s name was recommended unopposed from constituency 1.
According to Yadav, party’s Chair Oli’s name was unanimously endorsed at a time when Madhes-centric forces were making various propaganda against the UML because the party wants to disseminate positive message in the Madhes.
“The recent local level elections in Province 2 showed immense love and trust of the people for the party and Chair Oli himself is contesting in the polls from Siraha to send a positive message,” said Yadav.
Similarly, central member Lilanath Shrestha, District Chairperson Pramod Yadav and Asha Kumari Yadav’s names have been recommended from constituency 3 of the district while former minister of the General Administration Dharma Nath Sah’s name has been recommended from constituency 4. However, UML is yet to recommend any names from constituency 2.
There are four constituencies for the election of the House of Representatives while there are two provincial constituencies in each parliamentary electoral constituency in the district. Rajendra Choudhary’s name has been proposed from constituency 1, (A) and Ashok Yadav has been proposed unanimously from (B) of the constituency. Similarly, Shailendra Yadav, Ajay Yadav, Bechan Yadav and seven other names have been recommended from constituency 2 (A) while the party is yet to propose names from (B) of the constituency.
Similarly, District Secretary Yogendra Prasad Singh’s name has been proposed from Constituency – 3 (A) while the party is yet to pick names from (B) of the constituency.
Bhola Pokhrel, Kalyani Dhungana, Surya Nath Yadav, among two others, have been proposed from constituency – 4 (A) while Chandra Bhushan Sah, Bharat Manik Yadav, Ram Chandra Kapar and Tulasi Prasad Yadav have been proposed from the constituency (B).
Meanwhile, Publicity Department Chief Yadav said they were also thinking about left electoral alliance. “However, the names might be changed later in case of alliance as per the party’s central directive,” clarified Yadav.
