Lamjung DPHO to start telemedicine services

BESISAHAR, LAMJUNG: Telemedicine services are to be started at the District Hospital and health centres in Lamjung district.

The District Public Health Office (DPHO), Lamjung has announced that telemedicine services would be initiated for the benefit of the people and to train the health workers in the district.

According to Keshav Chapagain, chief of DPHO, senior doctors from Kathmandu would provide the telemedicine services through the District Hospital and other health centres in the district.

A trial run of the service was conducted at the Lamjung District Community Hospital on Friday, during which physicians from the National Centre for Rheumatic Diseases imparted training to the district-based health workers on treatment of rheumatic diseases.
