The deadline for the completion of the Kamerotar Land Integration Project in Madhyapur Thimi municipality has been reset for 2011.

Suraj Raj Rajkarnikar, project chief, told this daily that the earlier target for project completion was April 2009. The project was delayed due to Jana Andolan-II, conflict and lack of consensus between the landowners and the project, he said.

“After settling the disputes, we are now working day and night to complete the project within the next three years,” he said.

The accomplished project will be handed over to a consumers’ committee by mid-July 2011.

“Temporary land ownership certificates have been issued to 83 people. Some of them have already started building Sangam Colony,” he said.
