RAMPUR, PALPA: A section of the Siddhartha Highway has been blocked due to landslide at Tinau Rural Municipality-3 in Palpa district today.

The highway was closed due to the landslide, which occurred at 2:00 am, triggered by incessant rains since Sunday night. The highway closer left a large number of passengers stranded midway, according to Chief of the Palpa District Traffic Police Office, Prabin Acharya.

He further added that big rocks brought down by the landslide have posed a challenge to clear the highway, however, attempts are underway to remove the debris since the morning.
