Landslides displace 34 Myagdi families
BENI: Landslides triggered by incessant rainfall on Friday and Saturday in Bansbot, Lisne and Bhajani villages in Begkhola VDC of Myagdi district have displaced 34 families from their homes.
Additional eleven families have been put at a high risk due to cracks surfaced on the land following the landslides.
The landslide victims have been taken to safer places, said the District Police Office.
"With the help from Nepal Red Cross Society, journalists, police and locals, the displaced victims have been brought to the VDC building," said a local youth Bimal Phagami.
Meanwhile, the landslide victims have been provided with blankets, tents, among others by the NRCS.
Also, the displaced are provided with foodstuffs as relief, said Chief District Officer Keshav Raj Adhikari.
