Multiple landslides obstruct Narayangadh-Muglin road again

CHITWAN: Multiple landslides along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section in Chitwan district have obstructed the vital road since 11 pm on Sunday.

Engineer Shiva Khanal at the Narayangadh-Muglin Road Section Project informed that at least four points along the road have been obstructed due to the landslides.

A landslide at Char Kilo had obstructed the road since 11 pm yesterday. Though it was cleared by 3 am today, landslides at other places including Jalbire, Kerabari, Bhaludhunga and Gaighat had blocked the traffic by then.

Excavators and loaders have been mobilised to clear the obstructions and resume the traffic, he added.

Dozens of vehicles have stuck halfway along various sections of the road due to the obstructions.

For last few weeks, the road section connecting the Capital with the East-West Highway is being obstructed owing to landslides frequently.
